O change to using a glue gun and hot glue. This worked out much better. One note: make sure you drop a little glue on the bare cable end, as pictured, and let that dry first. The plastic sheath can slide loose from the internal cable otherwise. I was ready to glue the connector, but then I noticed that the Apple logo was upside down, and the dock connector logo wasn& 8217;t particularly good looking. So, I pulled out some Goof-Off (a.k.a. lighter fluid) and carefully rubbed off the logos. Note that Goof-Off also melts the plastic a bit, so be gentle and try to use only as much as you need. Ok, finally ready to glue. One last thing to check: the dock connector only goes in on one direction, so you want the loose cable to be towards the center of the dock connector, not on the outside. Double check this before you glue. I took the hot glue gun and carefully glued the connector, trying not to get too much outside the assembly. Also you& 8217;ll want to hold the cap flush against the visible side for a couple of minutes until the glue sets. After the glue dried, I scraped the extra glue away with a razor blade, then I wiped the whole thing down with a little more Goof-Off. It looked& 8230;. surprisingly good! I tried on the final assembly. The nano feels very secure. It does tend to hang just slightly off-center due to the weight distribution, but it& 8217;s more straight than I thought it would be. As you can see the nano hangs upside down, which is perfect for using it on-the-run. I tried on my headphones with it, and as you can see the headphone cable created a bit of a clut
